The Russian Volleyball Federation and the Organizing Committee of the 2022 Men’s Volleyball World Championship have received corresponding notices. The exact location of the relocation has not yet been determined. .

  The 2022 Men's Volleyball World Championships was originally scheduled to be held in Russia from August 26 to September 11, 2022, with a total of 24 teams shortlisted.

  The FIVB has expressed its serious concern about the situation in Russia and Ukraine. Due to the war in Ukraine, it is impossible for Russia to host the World Championships. Therefore, it has decided to cancel the country's right to host the 2022 Men's Volleyball World Championships.

  The Chinese men's volleyball team won the right to participate in this year's World Championships. According to the previous group draw, the Chinese men's volleyball team was in Group E with Italy, Canada and Turkey in the first group stage.
