The Algerian newspaper Al-Shorouk revealed, on Monday, that the Algerian Ministry of Awqaf inaugurated the "Al-Taqwa" mosque, in the municipality of Bani Senous, with the donation of the cost of its construction, the captain of the Algerian national team and Manchester City star Riyad Mahrez.

The newspaper said, "Riyad Mahrez donated to build this mosque from his personal account in that area, especially since the late Riyad Mahrez's parents, Ahmed and his wife Halima, are from the municipality of Bani Senous in the state of Tlemcen," noting that "Mehrez's mother was present at the inauguration of the mosque along with Algerian officials. ".

Mahrez is considered one of the most prominent Arab and African players in Arab stadiums, along with Egyptian Mohamed Salah, Moroccan Hakim Ziyech and his compatriot Ashraf Hakimi, who are considered a shining face of their country in the old continent.
