This season, the slalom masters ran two World Cup competitions in the classic German town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

For Jakobsen's part, it resulted in two incidents.

- I'm in a pretty tough place right now.

It's like it does not just want to.

I fight every day and try to get it together.

In the end, it just feels like it does not work, he says.

In what way are you fighting?

What do you do then?

- I continue to train every day.

I have the same routines that I had when things went well.

But in competition it just does not want to.

Today I fought the whole ride.

I overcame all difficulties, but still did not manage to finish.

It's tough.

"Extremely stressful"

You can not avoid it settles mentally?

- It is extremely stressful mentally.

When you have had the season that I have had, it is difficult to find the motivation to fight every day.

But you try to keep your hope up and do your best.

Jakobsen often shows that he is one of the fastest in the world.

This makes the incidents even tougher to take.

- When you go on shit like that, it gets extra tough.

I experience it as if I am not completely mentally involved.

I can not be in the present and do what I have to do.

Yesterday I had a total brain drop and just drove really wrong.

Today all the difficulties were over and I still finished.

"Lack of motivation"

What do you think in the future?

- I will probably continue to fight, but these are very tough thoughts.

There is a lack of motivation, especially the same day you drive out.

When it happens many times in a row, it becomes difficult.

Jakobsen would have liked to have skipped the next competition, but without taking World Cup points you lose the ranking and then it will be more difficult in the future.

- If I had been completely pampered, I would probably have skipped the next race and tried to have fun and feel good at home.

Now I have ridden so well that I can perform among the best.

That's a bit of the problem.
