Table runner-up Luleå once again received league four HV71 at Coop Norrbotten Arena at lunchtime on Sunday.

Yesterday's match between the teams ended with a 5-0 win for Norrbottningarna.

But it would not be as fun today.

It was an even and fast-paced first period where both teams created several chances each, despite which the first period ended goalless.

The second period also looked to be goalless, but with five minutes left of the period, Nicole Jensen cracked the goal zero after she shot the puck at the first post.

Important victory for HV71

Five minutes into the third period, the home team equalized through Viivi Vainikka who was able to poke in a return.

1-1 the period stood out and extra time awaited.

It also became goalless and in the penalty shootout, HV71's Sarah Bujold was able to step forward and set her penalty for the second time.

Luleå then missed their penalty and HV71 was able to go home to Jönköping with a nice victory.

The next match for Luleå is at home against Brynäs and HV71 goes to Enebyberg to take on SDE.
