Saturday's loss to Tottenham was the last straw.

Leeds now confirm that they are getting rid of coach Marcelo Bielsa.

The Argentine joined the club in 2018. He lifted Leeds from the Championship to the Premier League and during the first season in the fine room, it was an impressive ninth place.

But this season it's getting heavier.

Leeds have only five victories and are involved in the bottom battle.

This releases 66-year-old Bielsa.

- It is disappointing that his rule ends in this way, especially considering the great times we have had in recent years, says the club's sports director Victor Orta on the club's website.

Leeds also writes that they aim to finish with a replacement already on Monday.
