Nordic team players such as Ryohei Ariyasu, who will participate in the Beijing Paralympic cross-country skiing that will start on the 4th of next month, practiced for the first time at the competition venue and carefully checked the snow quality and slope of the course.

The four Japanese national team players from the Nordic team who participate in cross-country skiing and biathlon practiced for the first time in the field at the "National Biathlon Center", a competition venue in Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province, which is adjacent to Beijing.

Of these, Ariyasu, who first participated in the winter Paralympics in cross-country skiing and visually impaired classes, is a two-sword player who also participated in the Tokyo Paralympics last summer by rowing.

Ariyasu, along with Yuhei Fujita, a guide who slides in front of him, checked the snow quality and slope of the course, and repeatedly checked the sense of distance and the timing of the shouts.

Ariyasu said, "I felt it was a relatively slippery course. It's my first winter Paralympic Games, so I want to challenge senior athletes as a challenger."

The Beijing Paralympics will start on the 4th of next month.
