PG Andersson was in eighth place in WRC 2 when he made a comeback in the Swedish rally, 20 years after his first start in the World Rally Championship.

But on Saturday's last leg, the fun ended.

"Got a blackout"

Andersson misjudged the braking in a road change and drove straight into the forest at high speed and got stuck in the deep snow.

- I got a blackout there and braked into hell too late.

I was not even close to taking the turn, says Andersson.

Both he and the map reader Anders Fredriksson survived unscathed and the car received no major visible damage - but despite that, it is now finished.

Jonasson's best Swede

The home driver Jörgen Jonasson together with the map reader and cousin Nicklas Jonasson is now the best Swede in WRC2 when he took over the eighth place from PG Andersson.

He is 4.38.8 minutes behind the leader Andreas Mikkelsen who has a 10.9 second lead over Ole Christian Veiby.

Russian Nikolay Gryazin is third, 30.6 seconds behind Mikkelsen.
