While skiers like Jonna Sundling and Maja Dahlqvist come to the World Cup in Lahti with several tough Olympic races in their legs, Johanna Hagström has been able to focus on training.

The 23-year-old was poked at the Olympics at the last minute and instead the last sprint place went to Anna Dyvik.

- Then I was angry that we did not have five places.

It was hard, that was it, says Johanna Hagström to SVT Sport.

"Aiming for it"

Today, the World Cup resumes after the Olympic break with competitions in Lahti, Finland and first on the program is sprint.

- It feels good.

I have a small advantage.

Those who have run an entire Olympics are perhaps a little tired and that is an advantage that I will try to take advantage of.

That's a little motivation.

The others will be a little tired, but then I will be alert and drive fast.

Hagström, who is fourth in the sprint cup, was admittedly an Olympic reserve but was never called up.

During the Olympics, she has instead started training and competing at home.

- It has rolled on.

It has not been so hard training, more keeping going and competing in other competitions, says Hagström.

What is the goal of the rest of the season?

- I am fourth in the total sprint cup and to take a podium place there would be incredibly cool.

I'm aiming for that.

Grate is chasing revenge

For Marcus Grate, it was a short Olympics and he went home already after the sprint where he went out to the quarterfinals.

In Lahti, he hopes for revenge.

- Then I was very disappointed, but in retrospect it can be good before these competitions, that you got a few days at home.

I have been able to recharge at home and feel ready for the weekend.

What are your goals this weekend?

- I have no performance target.

But above all, I will dare to take for granted.

Do not lie on your back and wait for a situation.

Saturday's sprint begins with qualifiers at 11.00.
