“The IOC calls on all international sports federations to reschedule or cancel their sporting events that are planned in Russia or Belarus,” the press service of the organization reports.

It is specified that the request of the IOC is related to the situation in Ukraine.

However, the IOC has no plans to host any events in Russia or Belarus.

Russia has already canceled the 2021/22 UEFA Champions League final in St. Petersburg.

As well as the Russian stage of the Formula 1 Sochi Grand Prix.

Earlier it was reported that the IOC asks not to use the flags and anthems of Russia and Belarus in tournaments.
