The war between Russia and Ukraine envelops Barça's next Euroleague games in a certain halo of uncertainty.

The competition, finally, has been very clear in its resolution: the Barça team will have to travel to Russian territory to face, in the first place, Zenit Saint Petersburg this Friday and, on Sunday, CSKA Moscow, in one of the matches that had to be postponed as a result of Covid.

The Euroleague, according to the Barça club, guarantees that

Sarunas Jasikevicius

's men will not have any problems when traveling.

Alex Abrines

, however, was the first to show his astonishment at this fact on social networks.

"Well, it doesn't make me very happy to have to go to Russia, really...", the forward pointed out through his profile on his Twitter, a network in which he is usually very active.

Jasikevicius, for his part, joked about the player's reaction - "Álex is very bored", he slipped with a smile -, although without neglecting his concern about the conflict.

"He clearly worries me, it's happening close to my land. War is the worst thing that can happen to the world," said the coach, who also wanted to give the Euroleague a certain vote of confidence for his decision.

"We should be on the sidelines"

"If we are going to travel, everything is supposed to be fine. We shouldn't be worried, we should only think about our work. We should stay out of politics, but hopefully all this will end very quickly and without people dying," expressed the Barça coach.

The American

Nigel Hayes

, finally, was convinced that the team will not have any problem in their displacements.

"I'm not an expert, but St. Petersburg and Moscow must be two of the safest places to travel to, considering what's going on. Let's hope all goes well," he said.

"I hope we can focus on the games and that there is no problem," he stressed.
