A "tantrum" causes the Tokyo Olympic champion to be excluded from "Acapulco Tennis" (video)

German tennis star Alexander Zverev was excluded from the singles competitions at the Acapulco Championships in Mexico today, after his tantrum after losing the doubles competitions.

Zverev, the gold medalist in the Tokyo Olympics, hit the referee's seat with his racket several times, while the referee was sitting on the bench, after his defeat 2/6, 6/4, 6/10 with his Brazilian partner Marcelo Melo against Britain's Lloyd Glasspool and Finland's Harry Heliovara.

This is awful from Alexander Zverev.

Earlier in the match, Zverev expressed his anger over the decision of the referee.

The World Tennis Professionals Association immediately responded to Zverev's behavior and decided to expel the 24-year-old from the tournament for "unsportsmanlike behaviour".

Zverev won the last edition of the Acapulco Championship, and defeated American Jensen Brosby in the first round, and was preparing to meet his compatriot Peter Goyovitsk in the second round, but Goyovitsk qualified for the quarter-finals directly after Zverev was excluded.
