It was a tough premiere in the Extrem E series for Kevin Hansen in Saudi Arabia.
He was involved in an accident, crashed and interrupted.
Hansen got out of the car and received care on the spot.
He was later taken to hospital.
From there, Hansen announces that he has sustained two injuries.
"Okay.
Wow.
Had a very hard compression in the last downhill yesterday in Crazy Race, which resulted in a cracked vertebra and a bruised lung.
But as you can see, I am already sitting up with my backrest and the doctors are convinced that the injury will heal well ", the 23-year-old writes on Instagram.
Hansen also writes that he will be well taken care of.
