New Zealand defender Michaela Moore scored 3 goals against her country by mistake, in a match against the United States, on Sunday, in the “She Belives” Women’s Cup friendly tournament.

Unfortunately for the player, the three goals came in the first half, specifically in the minutes (5, 6, 36), which prompted the New Zealand coach to change them in the 40th minute of the match, which ended with the United States winning 5-0.

The funny thing is what happened with the unlucky Liverpool defender, that the three goals were scored in different ways, the first with the right foot, the second with the head, and the third with her left foot, after a failed attempt by her to clear the ball from her team’s penalty area.

Rebecca Scott replaced the 25-year-old Liverpool player, and New Zealand coach Yitka Klimkova said: "Every player plays and no matter their level, she plays great games and other difficult games, and Moore has had a difficult day."

"Of course she is sad and frustrated, but she is a wonderful person and a player who is connected to the team. We all support her at this difficult time in her career," Klimkova added.

The United States will play Iceland in the final round of the tournament on Wednesday and will need a win to retain the title, while a draw will be enough for Iceland to win the title for the first time.
