Mohammed Al Sharqi receives the President of the International Karate Federation and reviews the progress of the "Premier League" championship

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, received at Al-Rumaila Palace Antonio Spinos, President of the International Karate Federation, accompanied by Major General Nasser Al-Razouki, President of the UAE and Asian Karate Federations, and a number of heads of the Karate Federations in the world.

The visit of the President of the International Karate Federation comes on the sidelines of the conclusion of the World Karate League Championship "Premier League", which is hosted by the Emirate of Fujairah for the first time and concludes today at the Zayed Sports Complex.

His Highness, the Crown Prince of Fujairah, welcomed the President of the International Karate Federation, the guests of the Premier League, and members of the organizing committee, praising His Highness for the wide resonance achieved by the tournament, and the positive results of its competitive tours, which received wide international participation from karate players who represent various sports clubs around the world.

His Highness was briefed on the results of the competitive rounds of the Premier League, stressing the attention paid by the Fujairah government to sports in general and martial arts sports in particular, and its quest to be in advanced positions on the sports map thanks to the guidance and support of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah. His Highness was keen to harness the resources and capabilities for the success of hosting international sports competitions in Fujairah and achieving its goals.

For his part, the President of the International Karate Federation praised the efforts of the Emirate of Fujairah in supporting sports and hosting major sporting events, praising the level of organizing the World Karate League Championship in Fujairah, which confirms the distinguished global presence witnessed by the emirate in the sports field.

The meeting was attended by Salem Al-Zahmi, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah, Brigadier Ahmed Hamdan Al-Zeyoudi, President of the Emirates Taekwondo Federation, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the tournament, and heads of karate federations in a number of countries in the world.
