The Korean bobsled team, Won Yun-jong (Gangwon Provincial Government), placed 18th in the men's four-man race at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

The Won Yun-jong team, which consists of pilots Won Yun-jong, Kim Jin-soo, Kim Dong-hyun, and Jeong Hyeon-woo, recorded a total of 1:59.05 in the first and second rounds of the men's four-man bobsled race held today (19th) at the National Sliding Center in Yanqing, Beijing, China. Placed 18th out of 28 teams.

The pilot Seok Young-jin, Kim Hyeong-geun, Kim Tae-yang, and Shin Ye-chan's team, Seok Young-jin's team, recorded a total of 2 minutes 00 seconds 05 in the first and second rounds, and placed 26th.

As both teams performed far from medals, the Korean bobsled and skeleton team is more likely to finish the tournament with no medals.

At the 2018 Pyeongchang 2018 Games, where Korean bobsled and skeletons had the advantage of home track with a lot of support, Yun Seong-bin won the men's skeleton gold medal, and the four-man team Won Yun-jong won a silver medal.

The competition for gold medal in this tournament has been narrowed down to a three-way match between two teams from Germany, the 'best sled', and Canada.

Francesco Friedrich's team from Germany finished first with a time of 1:57.00, 2.05 seconds faster than Won Yun-jong's team, Johannes Lochner's team from the same country took second place, and Canada's Justin Krips team ran third.

Friedrich, who swept the gold medals for two and four men in Pyeongchang, and won the gold medal in this two-man event, is challenging for two consecutive gold medals in two competitions.
