Team Hasselborg misses Olympic final - fell after giant thriller

Team Hasselborg won Olympic gold in Pyeongchang 2018. But there will be no new gold for the Swedish curling team.

Because in the semi-final against Great Britain, they fell 12-11 after a real thriller.

Despite a Swedish dream start with four points in the first round, Great Britain withdrew and then kept pace with Sweden until the final rounds.

Swedish nightmare round

The match was decided in the ninth round, which became a real nightmare for Sweden.

At the position 8-7 to Sweden, Great Britain took four points and went up to 11-8 before the final decision.

Sweden, however, forced the match to an arbitration round after a three-pointer in the final round.

But once there, the dream of a new Olympic final for the Swedish curling ladies died.

Team Hasselborg will instead focus on the bronze match against Switzerland which will be played tomorrow 13.05.
