38-year-old Hasebe, who has been the captain of the Japanese national team for a long time, has been playing in the German 1st division since 2008 and has been in Frankfurt since 2014.



The club announced on the official website on the 18th that it will extend the contract with Hasebe for one year and play until next season.



He is expected to retire in effect, and has signed a contract as a coach from 2023 to 2027.
