Barcelona coach: We should have won by two goals at least against Napoli

Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez lamented that his team missed many opportunities to settle for a 1-1 draw with its guest, Napoli, in the first leg of the Europa League playoff yesterday.

Peter Jelinsky gave Napoli the lead in the 29th minute before Ferran Torres equalized with a penalty kick after 14 points in the second half.

Barcelona missed many chances, led by the new attacking trio Torres, Adama Traore and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Xavi said in a press statement that his team should have won by at least two goals, and explained: "Sad because what bothers me is that (Barcelona) missed many (opportunities) in a match that we should have won at least. I think that the only thing we lacked. It was taking chances. We pressed well and after being late, we created 20 chances, of which six or seven were dangerous."

"(It was) a complete match and for the right we should have won it by at least two goals. We played well but we are in the European League. It's about winning and it was an excellent match."

Barcelona will visit Napoli in Italy on the 24th of this month.
