In the second round of the tournament currently being held in its 22nd edition at the Dubai Duty Free stadiums in Dubai.

It took Kodermitova two hours and 15 minutes to secure victory over Muguruza, in a match that the Spaniard managed to settle her first set by "6-3" in 43 minutes, before the Russian regained her balance and succeeded in the second set by breaking her opponent's serve, and decided the result "6-4" in 47 minutes, and the same scenario was repeated in the decisive third group, which was limited to 45 minutes.

And she will meet Kudermetova tomorrow in the quarter-finals of the Swiss 35th-ranked Gil Tichmann, after Tichmann, who won the "lucky loser" card, managed to reserve her seat by defeating Ukrainian Svitolina, ranked 15th in the world, in two sets without a response "7-6, 6-2".
