Do you know the water jumper Patrick Hausding?

Or Tina Punzel?

Pretty crazy when they dive into the water after several somersaults.

Anyone who has ever jumped from a ten-meter board knows that you get pretty weak knees when you stand up there.

Again and again one can observe those in the swimming pool who climb down the stairs again.

Or those that don't and land on the water with their stomachs – smack!

But forget all that.

Have you ever seen ski aerials?

These are the real aerial acrobats.

There athletes drive down a hill.

First they make themselves small like ski jumpers, then they put their arms up, stand up, jump over a ramp - and yes, like water jumpers, they twist and turn through the air until they land.

With skis on the snow, at best.

The tension is what makes it so that every second person cannot land the jump.

"Ah", "Uh", "Oh" are the sounds that emanate from the audience.

One of the most exciting competitions of these games, mostly because of that pivotal moment and the question, can they land that thing?

That's what makes the sport.

When it comes to high dives, the rule is: Please do not splash when diving!

For the Aerials artists: It's better not to whirl up too much snow dust.
