Japan was 17th in the women's 24km relay at the Beijing Olympics and Biathlon.

Biathlon is a combination of ski cross-country and rifle shooting, and in the women's 24-kilometer relay, four teams each slide a 6-kilometer course, shooting two shots along the way to compete for the final time.
