A strong blow to the Egyptian national team before facing Senegal

The Egyptian national team received a strong blow before facing Senegal in the final stage of the qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup, after it was confirmed that defender Ahmed Hegazy was removed from the accounts of Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz due to injury and incomplete recovery.

The Egyptian team will meet its Senegalese counterpart on March 23 in Cairo, and the two teams will meet again on the 29th of the same month in the return match in Senegal, to determine who will qualify for the World Cup.

Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper reported that Hegazy suffered a strain in the connective muscle tendons during the Egypt-Morocco match in the final price of the last African Nations Championship that was held in Cameroon recently and won its Senegal title after beating Egypt 4-2 on penalties, and Hegazy had left Cameroon for Germany for treatment.
