After a tentative start, when the teams knew each other, Swedish team Niklas Edin was able to pick up two points in the fourth round - 3-1 to Sweden.

But the Russian team, led by skipper Sergei Glukhov, played in the sixth round and Niklas Edin had to put a difficult last stone, which he did and the Russians took only two points for the reduction 3-4.

the score was 6-5 to Sweden in round eight and the last stone for Niklas Edin.
