On Sunday, IFU Arena in Uppsala received several young Nordic promises.

The one who impressed immediately was 20-year-old Gabriel Wallmark, who got his big breakthrough via U20 gold at both the WC and EC last year.

Today he jumped 16.11 and took home the win in the three-step competition.

A result that is the second best in Sweden through the ages.

- I felt that I had something extra today.

I have more to give, says Wallmark.

Another super promise that impressed again today was 21-year-old Tilde Johansson who set a personal record in indoor long jump at 6.53.

- I'm very happy, I've been waiting for this for a long time now.

It feels like it has been there but you have never got it out.

I finally got it out, so nice, she says.

Thobias Montler comfortably took home the victory in the long jump with 7.93.

SVT's expert Alhaji Jeng said before the Nordic match that he would be surprised if Montler did not jump at least eight meters.

- It has now become the lowest level for him, says Jeng.

Sweden best

Louise Ekman took home the high jump competition and also took the opportunity to set a personal record.

Rebecka Abrahamsson and Maja Åskag impressed in three steps, where Abrahamsson finished in first place.

18-year-old Lova Perman qualified for the World Indoor Championships in the 800 meters.

In the 3000 meters, 17-year-old Jonathan Grahn beat the personal best when he made his national team debut.

At the finish line, he came with a cocky gesture in front of the Norman.

When we sum up the Nordic fight for this time, Sweden is the winner, ahead of Norway.

Finland finished in third place and Denmark / Iceland came in fourth.
