• Operations Clicars opens a center in Madrd

It has always been said that Apple started in a garage in Silicon Valley,

where Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak created the first computer of the (today) apple giant in the mid-1970s.

Saving all possible distances, the Spanish company Clicars, dedicated to the sale of used cars on the Internet,

also created a garage.

It was in 2016, in Manoteras (Madrid), with a million investment.

By the third year it was profitable.

Since 2021 it has been

listed on the Stock Exchange

through the Aramis Group and the company is currently capable of offering its clients up to €200 million in financing.

Last year, the company had a

turnover of more than 250 million euros

, almost tripling the figure for the previous year (it multiplied it by 2.7), with constant growth throughout the year.

In the last quarter alone, revenues amounted to

80 million euros, 117%

more than in the same period of 2020. Since its inception, the company has accumulated 430 million in turnover.

Pablo Fernández and Carlos Rivera_CEO and founders of Clicars

One of the first 500 companies

Pablo Fernández

, from the world of finance and with 10 Guinness world records for swimming, and

Carlos Rivera

, from the automotive industry, are the founders and CEO of the company.

Madrilenians born in 1980, they met in New York and left their profitable and secure jobs (Fernández was executive vice president of Santander) to embark on an adventure that

began as a start-up

and is now one of the

first 500 companies

in Spain , one of the companies that

sells the

most

cars per year and has a workforce of

more than 600 workers

.

Fernández and Rivera assure that "

there is still a lot of room to grow,

but we have to maintain the balance between performance and profitability."

Although

the benefits are reinvested

in the company.

The key to the business is

the ease of use and the guarantee of its products

.

All the procedures are done online and the delivery is made at home, half finance the purchase through Clicars itself with the agreements they have with different banks.

The largest plant of its kind in Europe

The company has a 90,000-square-meter warehouse in Madrid where

all the vehicles it sells pass a 250-point review

, and it is also the largest reconditioning plant in Europe.

Another of the company's strengths: the product guarantee.

Cars and vans are not in stock for more than 30 or 40 days

, which means a large turnover.

More in these times when there is no second-hand product because the lack of electronic components limits the production of new vehicles.

But those responsible for Clicars have reacted quickly and since July

have relaunched the purchase of vehicles from individuals

, as they started the business five years ago.

In three months purchases have tripled

and it has led them to open small offices in

Valencia, Barcelona, Seville and Malaga

.

The sales profile of this company is a little different from the market for new vehicles: 66% diesel and 27% gasoline, only 7% electrified.

93% of the cars delivered are less than five years old.
