German skeletoni Christopher Grotheer has won gold at the Beijing Winter Olympics.
The world champion not only achieved the first German Olympic victory in this discipline, the gold medal is also one of the first two medals ever for the German skeleton men.
Axel Jungk, a German, also came in second behind Grotheer.
