Filip Forsberg broke through in Leksand in the early 2010s.

He helped bring the team to the SHL and today he is a star on the NHL team Nashville Predators.

He has scored 24 goals in 34 matches and follows his Leksand as a supporter.

He is pleased with the club's development in recent seasons.

- It feels positive.

You have to become a stable team that will push towards the top every year and thus be able to recruit better players.

"Tjomme" (Thomas Johansson, general manager) has done a fantastic job with the coaching staff, says Forsberg.

Do you think it can be enough all the way already this year?

- Yes, I would say that.

Last year, the team was built on a fantastic first chain and in the NHL you see that it is not enough in the playoffs when the width is lacking.

It will be a little easier to invest everything in closing down a chain match after match.

They fell for it a bit last year.

- This year the squad is much wider and I think that can be a key in the future.

Forsberg talks about his feelings for Leksand.

- It is the club at heart.

I have had the same commitment since I was 2-3 years old and began to understand what it was.

Mom is from Leksand and dad was at the hockey school there from a very young age.

Both sides of the family have been homework since childhood.

One could not have had a better upbringing.
