Spectacular turnaround in the Filippo Inzaghi case: Two days after his dismissal as coach of the Italian second division soccer club Brescia Calcio, the 47-year-old is back at his post.

The reason for this is a clause in his two-year contract.

It states that Inzaghi cannot be sacked if Brescia are in the top eight.

The team is currently third in the table.

According to club boss Massimo Cellino, the team has lost its competitiveness in recent weeks and won too few games.

On Saturday there was a zero number against Cosenza Calcio.

Brescia then dismissed the 2006 world champion and replaced him with Diego Lopez.

But Inzaghi took advantage of the clause and is back in office.

His brother is also in focus.

Coach Simone Inzaghi from Italian champions Inter Milan has been suspended for one game for insulting the referee in the Milan derby (1-2).

As Serie A announced on Tuesday, Inzaghi was also fined 15,000 euros for his "serious and disrespectful" comments.

After the final whistle in the catacombs, Inzaghi complained about an alleged foul on Alexis Sanchez before world champion Olivier Giroud equalized in the 75th minute.

Giroud scored the winning goal for AC Milan three minutes later.
