Over the past six years, we have minimized carbon emissions through measures such as low-carbon venues, low-carbon energy, low-carbon transportation, and low-carbon offices.

At the same time, forestry carbon sinks and corporate donations are used to achieve carbon compensation, thus ensuring the smooth realization of the carbon neutrality goal of the Beijing Winter Olympics.

[Explanation] Li Sen also took the National Aquatics Center as an example to illustrate the effective practice of the concept of green Olympics in venues and facilities.

He said that in order to achieve the goal of carbon neutrality in the Winter Olympics, multiple venues can also be converted at any time according to different competition needs.

The Water Cube, which has now become the curling venue for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, has creatively realized the "water ice transformation" by the Water Cube, becoming a typical example of the transformation of the Summer Olympic heritage into the Winter Olympic venues. This transformation mode reduces the Carbon emissions from new venues.

The Beijing Winter Olympics used a total of 6 Beijing 2008 Olympic Games competition and non-competition venues, which can be said to set a model for low-carbon venues.

[Explanation] At present, all venues of the Beijing Winter Olympics have achieved green power supply, and the Zhangbei Flexible DC Power Grid Test Demonstration Project has played an important role.

Li Sen introduced that the project will transport renewable energy from Zhangjiakou area to Beijing, fully meeting the electricity demand of Winter Olympic venues in Beijing and Zhangjiakou area.

Zhangjiakou has abundant clean energy reserves. Through the Zhangbei Flexible DC Power Grid Test Demonstration Project, this green electricity expressway, Zhangbei wind, light and other renewable energy are converted into green electricity, and then sent to Beijing, Yanqing, Zhangjiakou three Each competition area has lit up every venue of the Beijing Winter Olympics, and realized that 100% of the regular power consumption of all venues uses green electricity.
