It is the Dutch Skating Federation that a few days ago published an article on its website.

There, ice expert Sander van Ginkel says that he is in place at the Olympics to try to influence the ice makers in the skating oval.

- I try to make sure that the circumstances (on the ice) are as good as possible for the riders from the Netherlands, he says in the article quoted by Expressen.

Nils van der Poel and his coach Johan Röjler have read the article themselves and taken up the tasks with the International Skating Federation and the competition management.

Nils van der Poel took Olympic gold in the 5,000 meters on Sunday and is a big favorite for another gold in the 10,000 meters, which will be decided on Friday.
