Cristiano Ronaldo's difficult career with Manchester United continues, as the Portuguese star is now going through a difficult period of decline, and the longest period away from scoring since the 2008-2009 season.

After another disappointing performance against Burnley on Tuesday evening, the Portuguese star reached the fifth consecutive game without scoring any goal, as usual.

Ronaldo's return to Old Trafford after his move last summer from Juventus was not quite as planned, as it was far from the fairytales that many had hoped to bring back his old team to the podiums absent from it 4 years ago.

Instead, it has been a frustrating season for both club and player, and in recent weeks the dream has begun to turn into something like a nightmare, with the Red Devils currently in fifth place in the Premier League, which is disappointing especially as the team is only three points ahead of Tottenham, the owner of the club. Seventh place, who has played 3 games less, which means that he may be ousted from this position very soon.

Ronaldo received a lot of plaudits earlier in the season for often saving a lackluster United from tricky situations, and his 14 goals and assists in 26 games are still praised.

But that will not last long after he has now played five games without scoring for Man United, a decline that has not happened to him for nearly 13 years.

Ronaldo failed to score against teams: Wolverhampton, Brentford, West Ham, Burnley (in the Premier League) and Middlesbrough (in the FA Cup), even missing a penalty kick against the latter.

It is feared that Ronaldo's decline is due to his advanced age, as he completed on the fifth of this month 37 years, and the beginning of the breakdown of his star contract and his transformation from positive records to negative ones, as he did not play five games without scoring, whether in Juventus or Real Madrid.
