At the Beijing Olympics and the Women's Snowboard Cross, a time trial was held to decide the combination of the final tournament, and Yuka Nakamura entered from Japan, but withdrew before the race.

"I couldn't slide through the course in practice"

Nakamura explained the reason for the abstention, "I couldn't finish this course in practice."

Nakamura was injured on his left knee last February, and the Beijing Olympics was scheduled to be the return race, but as a result of discussions with the coach on the 8th, he slipped through the course in the pre-race practice on the morning of the 9th. If he couldn't, he had decided to abstain.

Nakamura said with tears in his eyes, "I'm sorry I was abstained. I'm really sorry for my family and snowboarders who were looking forward to skiing at the Olympics."
