Martin Ponsiluoma became the best Swede in twelfth place in today's biathlon.

After the race, which contained three booms, the 26-year-old said it was one of the season's best efforts.

Björn Ferry is not impressed by the blue-yellow effort, but still approves Ponsiluoma's ride.

- It's no big deal today.

It is possibly Peppe Femling who gets approved in the shooting and Martin Ponsiluoma's ride is still hopeful.

But otherwise it was weak, especially (Sebastian) Samuelsson.

He is underperforming today, it is probably the worst race in terms of riding for the whole season.

"Have trained too hard"

Samuelsson was just over four minutes behind the winner Quentin Fillon Maillet, and one and a minute behind the twelve Ponsiluoma - despite both shooting three booms.

How is it that?

- The form of travel is not there, that is the simple answer.

These are fair conditions, there must be something in the preparations that has not been completely right for Samuelsson's part, says Ferry and continues:

- In normal cases when it comes to height, the risk and the most common mistake you make is that you have trained too hard.

And because it is so bad, it is more likely that he has trained too hard than that he has trained too little.

How should he get up?

- For Samuelsson's part, it's about recovery, recovery, recovery.

There is no chance that he has trained too little and will punish himself at intervals tonight.

And there is a chance for recovery, it is quite sparse with races at the Olympics.

So there's a chance he's back in shape before this is over.

The next race for the Swedish biathlon masters is Saturday's 10 kilometer sprint.
