The eldest of the men's short track team, Kwak Yoon-gi, showed a resolute attitude toward malicious comments from some Chinese fans.

Kwak Yoon-gi revealed direct messages (DMs) from some Chinese fans delivered to him through his SNS account today (the 5th) and said, "I am receiving support from China."

Kwak Yoon-gi posted a short video on his SNS account the day before, waving the Taegeukgi as a jockey for the Korean national team at the opening ceremony of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

Some netizens with unclear identities posted abusive comments in Chinese and English, which were difficult to put into words, and some netizens sent a private DM with profanity to Kwak Yoongi.

Yoongi Kwak is the center of the Korean men's short track track.

He does not participate in individual events, but as his eldest brother, he leads the team atmosphere and promises to excel in the Beijing Olympics.

It is speculated that some Chinese fans sent abusive messages to shake up China's rival, the Korean short track team.

The Chinese short track team appointed coach Kim Seon-tae and short track legend Ahn Hyeon-su (Russian name Viktor Ahn) as their coaches, saying that they would surpass the world's strongest short track team at the Olympics held in their home country.
