Al Salam Cycling Championship.. 70 challengers in the fiftieth year of the Emirati amateur race

The Organizing Committee of the Salam Cycling Championship has completed the preparations for the fiftieth year of the Emirati amateur race to be held next Monday, as part of the competitions of the sixth edition of the championship, which will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and organized by His Highness’s Procurement Office and financing. 

The race witnessed a high turnout of Emirati bikes, as 70 Emirati women registered in this race, some of them participating in different national teams and others participating individually in the race, which gives them the opportunity to compete in strong competitions that develop their technical levels and reveal the advanced level that each athlete has reached, according to what was stated In a statement to the organizing committee.


The Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee of the Peace Cycling Championship, Omair bin Juma Al Falasi, confirmed that the championship is working to translate the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to support women's sports, which made us stress the establishment of this race. He said in a press statement: "The Salam Championship includes an amateur race for female citizens and another for professional women, in order to open the way for all girls to participate at all levels, and to consolidate the principle of sports for all to spread and enhance the culture of exercise and physical activity in society in the first place, before the calculations of winning the race itself. In the statement, the organizing committee confirmed the completion of determining the race track that will be held in the Seih Al Salam area in the Al Marmoum Reserve in Dubai, as well as all the arrangements for the event village, the pavilions of the participating teams, medical support teams, and securing the track, in addition to the financial prizes allocated by the organizing committee to support sports in general and women for in particular. 


The technical meeting that will precede the event will be held to review all the instructions and technical notes for the race in which participation will be allowed for those who obtain a negative smear in the “PCR” examination for the Corona virus to participate, to ensure the health and safety of everyone in accordance with the precautionary measures applied in the United Arab Emirates. 


The organizing committee also approved the dates of the remaining races in the calendar of the current season 2021-2022, for the Peace Cycling Championship, as the second fiftieth year race for Emirati amateurs will also be held on February 13, and the fiftieth year race for the women’s elite on the 14th of the same month, and the second desert race of the fiftieth year For Emiratis and residents on the 17th.
