Hammam Tariq holds "Facebook" responsible for removing him from the Iraqi national team

The former Iraqi national team player, Hammam Tariq, said that the pressures he was subjected to through the social networking site "Facebook" caused him to stop continuing with the "Lions of Mesopotamia" team, which he represented for more than 10 years before he was suddenly dispensed with internationally.

Hammam said in statements carried by the Iraqi Sports Portal that "the change of coaches caused a problem for the team, and our generation made a good start for the team, but our expulsion came due to the pressure of Facebook."

"If we had kept the Slovenian coach Katanic, we would have secured qualification for the World Cup," he added.
