The Swedish star - who has won 22 of his 23 professional matches and only lost to world champion Tyson Fury - will return to the ring next weekend.
But the opposition can not at all be said to hold the same caliber as Wallin and de Sundsvallssonen have met in recent years.
35-year-old Kamil Sokolowski from Poland has a match result of eleven wins, 24 losses and two draws.
The match will go over eight rounds.
– Jag har tränat i en månads tid och vetat att jag skulle möta någon, men inte vem, säger Wallin till SVT Sport.

– Ja, det är han väl, det här är ingen stormatch. Men jag har inte gått en match på ett år nu och måste få matchträning. Jag kan inte vänta några månader till och då kliva upp mot någon riktigt bra motståndare för då kan det vara mycket ringrost. Det här är en bra chans att få bort lite av det.
– Det är ändå en ganska tuff kille. Han har till exempel bara blivit stoppad tre gånger. Han är lite mindre än mig, men ser stark ut och verkar ha en del slagstyrka.
Skulle gått stormatch i höstas
I oktober skulle Wallin ha gått en betydligt större fajt. Han var då inbokad att möta britten Dillian Whyte i en match som i sin tur skulle avgöra vem som skulle få nästa chans på obesegrade superstjärnan Tyson Fury.
But the week before the fight, Whyte withdrew with an alleged shoulder injury, something that Wallin questioned, and it was speculated that the British used the injury as a way out of the match against Otto, and straight into a title match against Fury.
On Friday, the big title match between Whyte and Fury became official.
Title match for Shields
The gala in Cardiff includes several other big names.
American Claressa Shields, considered by some to be the world's foremost female boxer, meets Ema Kozin for the WBA, WBC, IBF and WBF titles in the middleweight division.
And in the main match, there will be a British meeting between Chris Eubank Jr and Liam Williams.
