The total number of the delegation is 387, including 176 athletes.
The Beijing Winter Olympics is the largest Winter Olympics in the history of Chinese sports delegations.
The Chinese delegation completed all 7 major events and 15 sub-events of the "full event participation" task of the Beijing Winter Olympics, and won a total of 104 sub-events and 194 seats (including 4 which need to pass the Beijing Winter Olympics other The "in-competition" sub-event with re-confirmed sub-event results) accounted for 95.4% of all 109 sub-events.
On February 4, the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics will be held at the National Stadium "Bird's Nest".
The performance of Chinese athletes has attracted much attention.

短道速滑队向来是中国冬季项目的“王者之师”，此前中国军团获得的13枚冬奥金牌中，有多达10枚来自于短道速滑。北京冬奥会，任子威参与的混合接力队将冲击中国代表团本届首金。
本赛季，任子威是中国短道速滑队表现最抢眼的队员，他被视为中国队在男子中长距离冲击冬奥金牌的最大希望。
在本赛季世界杯比赛中，任子威拿下3枚单项金牌。此外，他还是男子5000米和2000米混合团体接力的绝对主力。在这些项目上，任子威均具备冲击最高领奖台的实力。

高亭宇是目前中国速度滑冰短距离项目的王牌选手。在2018年平昌冬奥会上，他获得男子500米铜牌，成为首位获得冬奥会速度滑冰奖牌的中国男子运动员。本赛季他夺得世界杯波兰站500米冠军，也是职业生涯首个世界杯分站赛冠军。
“快如闪电”、“好似火箭”，这是当时外媒对他的评价。在北京冬奥会上，他将向速度滑冰的最高领奖台发起冲击。
高亭宇曾说，面对这样的重要机遇，要将压力转化为动力，把自己全方位调动起来，“想把最好的水平发挥出来，给全国人民看。”

宁忠岩是出生于1999年的小将。2019年，他初登国际赛场便一鸣惊人，在世界杯哈萨克斯坦站男子1500米比赛中打破场地纪录摘金。1963年罗致焕在世界速度滑冰锦标赛上获得男子1500米冠军后，中国选手再未染指该项目世界冠军头衔，直至宁忠岩横空出现。
过去两个赛季，宁忠岩表现十分强势。他在2019-2020赛季世界杯拿下1金4银，2021-2022赛季夺得3金2银，是名副其实的中国速度滑冰中长距离领军人物。
在冬奥会速度滑冰的赛场上，中国队仅由张虹在女子1000米项目中获得过一枚金牌。本次家门口作战，这一历史有望改写。宁忠岩此前接受采访时曾说：“在北京冬奥会上，把最好的状态发挥出来，是我最大的目标。”

2010年温哥华冬奥会上，申雪/赵宏博摘得中国花样滑冰项目的首枚冬奥金牌。此后这些年，中国选手没能重现这样的辉煌。隋文静/韩聪近几年屡屡在国际大赛中摘金，也是北京冬奥会的夺冠热门。
此前接受采访时，韩聪曾表示，虽然家门口作战会有压力，但两人已经做好了百分之百的准备。

徐梦桃是中国自由式滑雪空中技巧项目的一名老将，她是索契冬奥会女子自由式滑雪空中技巧项目亚军得主。在平昌冬奥会上，她决赛中出现失误，错失金牌。
本赛季，徐梦桃展现出了不错的竞技状态。去年12月，在芬兰卢卡进行的空中技巧世界杯比赛中，徐梦桃获得金牌。这是徐梦桃获得的第26枚世界杯个人金牌，她也因此超越澳大利亚选手库珀，成为获得世界杯个人金牌最多的运动员。
除此之外，徐梦桃还和队友一起获得过本赛季混合团体世界杯冠军。不出意外的话，她将参加北京冬奥会个人和团体两个项目的角逐。在这两个项目上，她都有冲击金牌的实力。

在去年12月进行的单板滑雪世界杯美国斯廷博特站比赛中，中国小将苏翊鸣以155.25分的成绩夺得大跳台项目冠军，这也是中国男子单板滑雪运动员首次夺得世界杯冠军。
在本赛季的世界杯比赛中，苏翊鸣在单板滑雪坡面障碍技巧项目中为中国队获得了一张冬奥会入场券。而在单板滑雪大跳台项目，他同样拿到了冬奥会门票。
对于年轻的苏翊鸣来说，尽管还不能像成名已久的选手们那样稳定摘金，但他的冲劲就是最大的竞争力。在冬奥之前的备战中，苏翊鸣也挑战了单板滑雪内转1980度抓板动作，并获得吉尼斯世界纪录认证。或许在北京冬奥会上，他会带来意外惊喜。

四年前的平昌冬奥会上，在单板滑雪女子U型场地比赛中，刘佳宇摘得一枚银牌，这也是中国代表团在平昌冬奥会的首枚奖牌。四年之后，刘佳宇将再次踏上冬奥征程，这也是她的第四次冬奥之旅。
2020年初，刘佳宇在比赛中受伤，经过一系列的康复和体能训练，她才重新回到赛场，这对一名老将来说非常不容易。
本赛季，刘佳宇的赛场表现一般，但她希望在家门口的比赛中挑战极限。她说：“在短时间内想要把自己的专项水平有一个阶段性的提高，希望能够把自己最好的状态调到奥运会的时候，在那时能够展现自己，滑出自己的风格。”
