Expo 2020 Dubai hosted promotional activities for the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2021 over three days, within the Sports Arena, the largest exhibition of its kind in the world.

The promotional events come as part of the interactive activities launched by the tournament’s organizing committee, with the aim of achieving a positive impact on various segments of society in the country.

A press release said: "The events were part of Expo 2020, the largest global event extending for six months, attracting visitors from all over the world, with the aim of encouraging groups of society to interact with global sporting events and promoting a sporting and healthy lifestyle, in addition to promoting the upcoming championship."

A first-of-its-kind opportunity for fans to interact and take pictures with the official championship trophy.

The trophy appeared for the first time in the 2005 FIFA Club World Cup in Tokyo.

The promotional event within Expo 2020 also witnessed the presentation of "Dubai", the official mascot of the tournament presented by "Ali Baba Cloud", with the aim of interacting with the new generations of football fans.

The "Dubai" journey continues throughout the Emirates, and the public can follow it through the tournament's official channels on social media.

The FIFA Club World Cup will be held according to the knockout system with the participation of seven international clubs, and its competition will start on Thursday, February 3, with a meeting between Al Jazira Club, the UAE representative in the tournament, and AS Perai, the representative of the Oceania Football Association.

The list of clubs participating in the competitions from the continental champions includes: Mexican Club Monterrey, representative of the North, Central American and Caribbean Federation, Chelsea Club of England, European champions, Palmeiras Club of Brazil, winner of the South American Continental title, Al Hilal Saudi Club, Asian champions, and Al Ahly Club of Egypt, African champions.
