Probably a bit too much, actually.

The president of Fifa defended his idea on Wednesday before the Council of Europe, and chained the arguments.

Some athletes, some don't.

Infantino then launched into a tirade on Africa: the World Cup every two years would be, according to him – we are hardly caricaturing – capable of curing all ills.

“In Europe, he says, it took centuries and centuries for a change.

There is a lot to do, a lot to change.

We must give Africans hope that they will not have to cross the Mediterranean to perhaps have a better life here.

We must give them opportunities and dignity.
