A new trial for Mortada Mansour for insulting Mahmoud Al-Khatib and the management of "Al-Ahly"

Today, the Misdemeanors Department of the Cairo Economic Court is holding a session to consider a new lawsuit against Mortada Mansour, in the communications of Mahmoud Al-Khatib, the Al-Ahly Club Board of Directors and its CEO against Mortada Mansour, the president of Zamalek Club.

The lawsuit, among several cases referred by the investigation authorities to the court, contained 12 video clips by Mortada Mansour, which contained insulting and defamation terms against Captain Mahmoud Al-Khatib, his family, members of Al-Ahly’s board of directors and its CEO.

It is noteworthy that the investigation authorities submitted an appeal against the ruling issued by the Economic Court earlier, which states that Mortada Mansour, president of the Zamalek club, was acquitted of the charge of insulting and defaming Mahmoud Al-Khatib, Al-Ahly’s board and board chairman.

The investigation authorities relied on the accused in their appeal against the judgment issued by the Economic Court, on the mistake of a first court in applying the law, and the accusation against the accused was proven.

 As the indictment materials presented by the investigation authorities against Mortada Mansour in all cases;

Including Article 308 of the Penal Code, which punishes imprisonment for the offense of insulting the reputation of families.

As previously, the Agouza Misdemeanors Court heard several other cases against Mortada Mansour on various other facts and on other dates bearing the same accusations.
