Barcelona player undergoes “conservative” treatment after a leg injury
Barcelona, who belongs to the Spanish Football First Division, announced that its young player Ansu Fati will not undergo surgery after an old injury to his leg worsened, and confirmed that he would resort to a “conservative” treatment in the recovery journey.
The 19-year-old was injured during Barcelona's 3-2 loss to Athletic Bilbao after extra time in the King's Cup on January 20 in his second appearance with the team after returning from a two-month absence.
"The first-team player, Ansu Fati, will be using conservative treatment to recover from the injury to the hamstrings of the left hamstring," Barcelona said in a statement.
Fati, who won the No. 10 shirt from Lionel Messi after the Argentine striker left for Paris Saint-Germain, rose from the junior sector in Barcelona, but was plagued by many injuries.
Fati underwent four surgeries to treat an injury to his left knee that he sustained in November 2020.
