Due to injuries and covid falls, it was clear before the match that the Comoros had to field an outfielder in the goal.

The choice fell on left-back Chaker Alhadhur, who was allowed to wear the blue goalkeeping suit.

After the match, the Comoros players were outraged that the referee did not add more than three minutes of extra time and the referees had to be protected.

Alhadhur was not in it but walked around happily and hugged with both teammates and opponents.

Not least Cameroon's goalkeeper André Onana, in the big club Ajax, showed great joy over Alhadhur's effort and was happy with his effort.

The Comoros stood up surprisingly well away from home

Already after three minutes of play, the Comoros were decimated to ten men after team captain Abdou received a direct red card after a cut from behind on Moumi Ngamaleu, the soles directly on the calf.

After a VAR review, the referee hauled out the red card at the Stade Paul Biya in outside the Cameroonian capital Yaounde, a newly built stadium that was inaugurated in the autumn.

After half an hour, the zero was cracked and Chaker Alhadhur was overplayed.

Karl Toko Ekambi pulled inside the penalty area and between two opponents he scored 1-0 for Cameroon.

Alhadhur could not do anything to stop the goal;

After 70 minutes of play, it was time for 2-0 Vincent Aboubakar ran on a deep lead ball and placed the ball in neutral.

With ten minutes left, the Comoros reduced to 2-1 after a wonderful free kick where Youssouf M'Changama's high ball appeared in the left cross.
