Zhamnov joined the Russian national hockey team in Novogorsk after recovering from COVID-19

This was reported by the press service of the national team.

Zhamnov has been in quarantine since January 17 due to a positive test for coronavirus.

In his absence, Alexei Kudashov led the team's training.

The Russian Hockey Federation (FHR) will announce the composition of the national team for participation in the Olympics on January 23.

The 2022 Games will be held from 4 to 20 February.

The men's hockey tournament will take place from 9 to 20 February.

Russia at the Olympics will play in group B with Denmark, the Czech Republic and Switzerland.

The opening match will take place on February 9 with the Swiss. 

Earlier, FHR President Vladislav Tretiak spoke about the preparation of the national team for the Olympics.
