Around the turn of the year, it was clear that SHL profile Dick Axelsson would make a comeback.

He resigned in May 2021, but when a crisis-stricken Djurgården called him, he responded.

On Saturday night, in the match against Leksand, the 34-year-old was back on the ice.

He was behind Djurgården's equalizer which took the match to extra time.

Goalless well there and it took penalties to decide it all - where Filip Cederqvist could finally take home the victory and the bonus points.

Djurgården, which is last in the table, had a hard time getting chances in the beginning of the match.

This is what it looked like for Leksand as well.

But in the third period of the match, Oskar Lang put 1-0 to the guests in powerplay.

Shortly afterwards, Djurgården was able to equalize.

A half-turned Dick Axelsson played the puck sideways to the 17-year-old Jonathan Lekkerimaki who after a delicious take came clean with the goalkeeper and was able to put 1-1.
