The draw for the decisive round of the African qualifiers for the World Cup Qatar 2022 has produced strong matches to be held next March to determine the 5 teams that will represent Africa in the World Cup.

Before the start of the draw, the teams concerned were divided into two categories according to the classification of teams issued by the International Football Association "FIFA" (FIFA).

The first level included the highest-ranking teams: Senegal, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria and Nigeria, while the second level included the teams: Egypt, Cameroon, Ghana, Mali and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The first-level teams were given the advantage of receiving the return match at their own stadium.

The draw resulted in the following matches:

  • Egypt vs Senegal

  • Cameroon vs Algeria

  • Ghana vs Nigeria

  • DR Congo vs Morocco

  • Mali vs Tunisia

The decisive round matches will be played back and forth between March 23 and 29.
