Ben Omran: Tunisia is ready to fly over the World Cup

The head of the National Teams Committee in the Tunisian Football Association, Hicham Ben Omran, said that the Carthage Eagles will defend their chances of running for the 2022 World Cup, despite the strength of the confrontation against Mali.

He added in a press statement: "We are ready to fly over the World Cup, which is being held for the first time in an Arab country, and this represents a strong motivation for us in the Tunisian Federation and also among the players and the technical and administrative staff."

He continued, "I do not imagine that any of the teams nominated for the decisive stage of the qualifiers expected an easy confrontation, as the levels between the ten teams are very close and there is no preference for one team over the other."

He concluded: "We will work to prepare the Tunisian team in the best possible way before meeting Mali, and we will wait for the end of the African Nations Championship to develop a strong program that will prepare the Tunisian team to face Mali while it is in the best technical and physical condition."
