England will face Ivory Coast in a friendly next March

The England national football team decided to play a friendly match against the Ivory Coast next March.

The England team, coached by Gareth Southgate, is preparing for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and has settled on two friendlies to play at Wembley Stadium.

England will meet Switzerland on March 26 and then host Côte d'Ivoire, two-time African champions, on March 29.

The British news agency "PA Media" indicated that England and Côte d'Ivoire did not meet at the level of the first team, and the match will be the first for the England team against a team from outside Europe since November 2018.

The Football Association described the match as "an important test for the national team on the way to preparations for the 2022 World Cup."

The England team will play four matches in the European Nations League in June, and then meet the teams of Italy, Germany and Hungary in the tournament competitions in September, in the last international stop before the World Cup.
