The “Pharaohs” team qualified for the second round after collecting six points from the victory over Guinea-Bissau and Sudan with a clean goal, compared to the loss against Nigeria with the same result, while Ivory Coast advanced by defeating Ainia Equatoria with a clean goal, drawing with Sierra Leone 2-2, and winning Algeria with three.
The Egyptian national team is scheduled to meet its Ivory Coast counterpart, next Wednesday, at 11 pm UAE time.
