Heung-Min Son congratulated former Tottenham teammate Eric Lamela on winning the Puskas Award.

Heung-Min Son posted a photo on his social media service (SNS) of the goal ceremony with Lamela and said, "Welcome to the Puskas Club!"

(Welcome to the Puskas club bro!)

Lamela, who transferred to Seville, Spain in July last year after having a meal with Son Heung-min at Tottenham Hotspur, received the FIFA Puskas Award yesterday (18th).

The Puskas Award is an award that selects the 'best goal' in a football match during the year.

Lamela won the award with a Labona kick opening goal against Arsenal in March last year while playing for Tottenham.

Lamela, who received Moura's pass at the time, created an exquisite goal with a Labona kick that crossed her left foot behind her right foot inside the penalty area.

In 2020, Heung-Min Son scored a wonder goal after sprinting in the 70m against Burnley to receive the Puskas Award.

Tottenham Hotspur, which produced Puskas Award winners for the second year in a row, congratulated them by posting pictures of the two players on their SNS on the same day, "2020 Puskas Award Winner: Son Heung-min, 2021 Puskas Award Winner: Eric Lamela".

Lamela also retweeted the club's post and applauded, saying, "Great Sonny (Son Heung-min's nickname)."
